Amouage Gold: the house’s golden standard, then and now

August 2026 · Join CT Journal

The Gold Man and Gold Woman compositions that set Amouage’s early tone — and why they still anchor the classic line.

Amouage Gold: the house’s golden standard, then and now

Where it began

Gold Man and Gold Woman descend from the house’s original 1980s creations — the opulent, gold-capped statements that established Amouage’s identity as Oman’s imperial perfumery.

Gold Man

A dense oriental of rose, incense and spice over a base of oud, sandalwood and amber. It is formality itself — a fragrance for occasions that deserve it.

Gold Woman

The feminine counterpart leads with lily of the valley and rose over sandalwood, musk and amber — lighter in step, equally formal.

Where they sit today

The Gold pair is the classic line’s anchor: what Interlude does with chaos, Gold does with ceremony. Collectors who own one rarely regret the pair.
